Programmatic Requests

One of Congress’ most important constitutional duties is the annual appropriations process, which allocates funds for federal programs. This process supports national defense, interstate transportation, food assistance, research and development, and much more. Senator Blumenthal will continue to fight for the priorities that are most important for Connecticut, and he wants to hear directly from you about federal programs that benefit the state.

The National Defense Authorization Act has been passed into law for over sixty consecutive years. This must pass legislation contains important policy provisions and funding authorizations that bolster our national defense. Senator Blumenthal is proud to champion Connecticut and national priorities. He is a tireless advocate of our strong, vibrant Connecticut defense industrial workforce who produce exceptional products in support of our Armed Forces at home and abroad.
