Statement From Senator Blumenthal on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

 (WASHINGTON, DC) – In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Senator Blumenthal issued the following statement:

 “Today, we reflect on the living memory of an historic figure who dedicated his life to fighting for freedom, equality, and justice for all. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a tireless advocate for all people, challenging our nation to live up to its highest ideals.  His commitment to nonviolence and civility is as relevant today as it was when Dr. King struggled for civil rights.  As his life and work continue to inspire us, we're reminded that we must come together to better serve our communities, our state, and our nation."
