[Hartford, CT] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal released the following statement today after a U.S. District Court judge issued a second preliminary injunction allowing work to continue on the Revolution Wind Project.
“Once again, a court has struck down Trump’s senseless stop work order on Revolution Wind because the administration has failed to produce a single shred of evidence to support its fantastical claims. After losing in court once already, Trump seems intent on costing Connecticut workers thousands of jobs and raising electric prices for Connecticut consumers. This repeated effort to stop a project—already nearly 90% complete—plainly flouts laws, facts and public interest. His vengeance is just plain cruel and stupid. He should abandon this insane campaign and get out of the way,” Blumenthal said.
In August and December 2025, the Trump Administration issued stop work orders on the nearly complete Revolution Wind project. Blumenthal wrote to Department of the Interior Secretary Doug Burgum demanding answers regarding Trump’s interference in the project and clarity on so-called national security concerns. The Trump Administration did not respond to either request.
