Blumenthal Applauds Passage of his Resolution Honoring Trinity College's National Championship

[HARTFORD, CT] – Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) applauded the passage of a resolution congratulating Trinity College men’s basketball team for winning the 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Men's Basketball National Championship. The resolution commends the Bantams’ dominant performance on their way to their first ever national championship. It also recognizes Henry Vetter for being named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and congratulates Trinity College fans, students, and faculty for the incredible accomplishment.

“Congratulations to Trinity College on their hard-earned and well-deserved national championship. This resolution honors both the Bantams and their coaches for the grit and grace that guided the team to their first ever national basketball title,” said Blumenthal. “This team has filled Connecticut and their loyal fans with immense pride – further cementing Connecticut as the Basketball Capital of the World. Go Bants!”

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy also sponsored the resolution.
