Congressionally Directed Spending Requests – Fiscal Year 2022

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal is now accepting applications for Connecticut-based projects that would be eligible for Congressionally Directed Spending.

All applications must be submitted on our website by 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2021. You may obtain the application form and submit the completed application here.

The application should identify high-impact projects in Connecticut that can be completed with assistance from the federal government. For-profit entities are not eligible to receive Congressionally Directed Spending.

The project must fit into one of the list of accounts listed here. Further guidance on what each account entails can be found by clicking on the links below. Entities submitting an application must also provide a detailed budget for the project and a letter of certification.

The Senate Appropriations Committee selects the final projects from the projects submitted by all senators. Therefore, neither submission of an application nor Senator Blumenthal’s approved list of projects are guaranteed for final funding.
