    Knocking Out Sports Blackouts

On Tuesday night, I was honored as the “Most Valuable Policymaker” by the Sports Fans Coalition. Today, I spent a few minutes this morning discussing sports blackouts and what we must do in the future to support the rights of fans.

The Password Protection Act Will Protect Employees’ Private, Personal Information

Like many of you, I was appalled when I heard accounts of employers forcing prospective employees to provide passwords to personal websites like Facebook as part of the hiring process. As Americans, we value our privacy, and the thought that our privacy could be invaded as part of the job hunt is anathema to us.

Ensuring Access to Women's Health Services in the Age of the iPhone

One of the most trumpeted features of Apple’s new iPhone 4S is Siri, the voice-activated personal assistant that helps users with searches and other questions. The New Layaway

Layaway payment plans may offer consumers flexibility to purchase items, but consumers must be wary of the fees associated with layaway. In many cases, the fees to use layaway far exceed the costs consumers would incur if they bought the product with a loan or even a very high interest credit card.

Two Storms, Three Months and Thousands Left Without Power

Connecticut residents have weathered two devastating storms over the last three months. Regrettably, after both storms, CL&P failed to meet its commitment to its customers.
